I recently had the pleasure of staying at the Number 31 Guesthouse on Leeson Close in Dublin. The boutique hotel was designed by the renowned architect Sam Stephenson and incorparates two distinct buildings

1. The living, dining and social area with its beautiful white walls, modern furnishings and memorable sunken lounge area. Lots of great travel books and a few notable works of literature for “high brows”

2. The Georgian Guesthouse, a combination of two georgian houses tastefullty restored combining the elegance of georgian architecture with a distincty modern twist of flair and design. This combines ornate high ceilings, original fireplaces and some lovely design pieces.

The owner Noel is very attentive to clients needs and is excellent at recommending great restaurants, pubs, music etc nearby.

Oh and the breakfast is exceptionally good too ……. highly recommended as an alternative to 5 star hotel in Dublin City Centre.
