Horse Riding at Sheen Falls
For horse riding enthusiasts the opportunity to explore the breathtaking countryside around Kenmare and Kilgarvan on horseback is a true delight.
This relaxing, leisurely trek, of one or two hours, with a qualified horse riding instructor, follows a winding trek in the Kilgarvan countryside into the surrounding hills and forests and through the beautiful Roughty River Valley.
River Valley Riding Stables are located approximatley 15 minutes drive from the Lodge.Treks can be tailor made to suit your requirements, ranging from 1hr 15mins for the less experienced to 2 hour treks for the more advanced rider. All necessary equipment is available from our Health Spa.
Beach Trek at Eagle Rock
Located in Caherdaniel, a picturesque village approximately 1 hour drive from the lodge and scenically positioned on the shores of Derrynane Bay on the Ring of Kerry, Eagle Rock Equestrian Centre facilitates rides of all standards. Horses, ponies and tuition are available for riders of all levels.
The splendour of this trek is the opportunity to gallop across the magnificent Caherdaniel Beach with the distinctive scent of the saltwater air and the gushing sound of the ebbing tide.
